Job Title: Real Estate Associate Attorney

Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team. An ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions, with ancillary experience in estate planning and administration and business entity formation.

Our three attorney firm founded in 2009 with offices in Hickory and Boone includes a growing real estate practice based in our Hickory office. We currently serve primarily Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander, and Burke counties, and the contiguous surrounding counties. Our practice is distinguished by excellent service and responsiveness to our client’s needs. Our relationships with realtors and lenders are crucial to our success.

Must be licensed in NC and live near or be willing to relocate to the Catawba County/Unifour area.

Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, and development documents.
• Assist clients with title examinations, due diligence processes, and resolving title issues to facilitate smooth property transfers.
• Support clients in negotiations with landlords, tenants, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Prepare legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Conduct closings.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Hiring criteria

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in North Carolina.
• Proven experience in real property transactions.
• Strong knowledge of estate planning and administration is desirable.
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Catawba County/Unifour area.
• Position is not remote; must be in our Hickory office 5 days/week.
