Job Title: Assistant General Counsel

The Assistant General Counsel is an entry‑level attorney role ideal for a 2026 law school graduate with a strong interest in health law and healthcare operations. Prisma Health also welcomes applications from recent law school graduates with two (2) years or less of practice who meet the qualifications. This is a rare opportunity for a new attorney to begin their career in-house at one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the Southeast. The role offers broad exposure to transactional, litigation, regulatory, and operational legal matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys on Prisma Health’s legal team supporting the full range of legal needs across a diversified, multi-state health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Department attorneys with legal research, drafting, and analysis across transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters.

• Support contract review, due diligence, policy development, and operational legal needs.

• Participate in projects involving healthcare regulations, corporate governance, and systemwide initiatives.

• Collaborate with other departments across the enterprise to gather information and support legal workflows.

• Contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of legal services across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school or expected graduation in 2026; active or pending bar membership.

• Demonstrated interest in health law and healthcare operations.

• Excellent research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
