Job Title: Junior Associate

We are seeking a Junior Associate Attorney with early career experience (2-4 years) in business, corporate, and transactional law. This role is designed for an attorney who will support a variety of corporate and transactional matters, assist with drafting and reviewing business documents, and work closely with partner(s) and senior attorneys in a collaborative boutique environment. The
Junior Associate will develop practical legal skills and judgment through hands-on experience, while contributing to high quality client service and participating in the firm’s continued growth.

Hiring criteria

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold legal ethics
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of current laws and regulations
• Conducting legal research
• Analyzing conflicts in legal matters and advising clients on solutions
• Assisting with the preparation, drafting, review, and revision of legal documents, including deal documents and other contracts, as well as negotiating and closing transactions
• Performing administrative duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining and filing legal documents
Qualifications
• Active North Carolina license to practice law
• Proven experience as a Junior Associate Attorney or just graduating from law school
• Knowledge of legal research techniques and databases
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
• Exceptional client service orientation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Works well under pressure
