Job Title: Assistant Solicitor

Join an innovative Solicitor’s Office where the attorneys work extremely well together and our salaries are highly competitive. We have a great training program for new attorneys to learn effective case load management and how to preparing for and conduct trials. We are known and respected throughout the State for our ability to run an efficient and organized docket. Running an efficient docket brings great rewards: attorneys who are not bogged down with old cases can focus on those cases that need extra attention. Our attorneys are very supportive of each other and really enjoy working together. We have been a paperless office since 2003 — all of our casefiles are accessed online (and can be accessed remotely). We have a sophisticated yet user-friendly case management system that is used by prosecuting offices throughout the country and greatly assists in keeping track of all aspects of our cases.

This is an exciting job that brings something new every day. One day you are fighting for a person who has been victimized by a career criminal, the next you are trying to find a program that might help a person who, although charged with a crime, could turn his life around with the right help. This office has a Drug Court Program, a Mental Health Court, a Veterans Court, a specialized counseling program for those involved with Domestic Violence, as well as a program for first time offenders. We are always looking for alternatives and ideas that would serve our community better – our Solicitor is always open to hearing new ideas.
