Job Title: Litigation Associate – Columbia, SC

Williams Mullen is seeking a Litigation associate with 2-4 years’ experience to join our established Litigation group in our Columbia, SC office. Hiring criteria

2-4 years’ experience managing a case load from inception through to trial and litigation experience in State and/or Federal Court including deposition, drafting motions, discovery requests, and trial preparation and support.
Knowledge or experience with economics, marketplace trends, business strategy or other business acumen.
Successful candidates will possess the ambition to excel and enjoy working in a small-office environment with the benefits of large-firm resources and cross-office engagement.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate aptitude to strategically plan; strong negotiations skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time well and to work independently often.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction. Also have the drive and energy to take initiative to advance projects and be meticulous with details.
Superior academic credentials and entrepreneurial spirit highly preferred.
Excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
Judicial clerks strongly preferred.
Must be currently licensed in South Carolina, or have a transferable UBE score from another state.
