The 14th Circuit has an innovative approach to prosecution that is constantly evolving to address modern-day challenges facing the American criminal justice system.
We operate several programs that focus on the underlying issues that cause individuals to commit crimes. Our office works to address them early and provide Defendants with the resources and assistance needed to become productive members of society. Our Drug Treatment Courts have one of the highest participation counts of any program in South Carolina.
The 14th Circuit targets criminal behavior by allocating prosecutors to different departments within the office. Our office operates a Special Victims Unit (SVU) and Victims Center which partners with various nonprofit agencies to provide much needed assistance to victims.
