Job Title: Assistant Solicitor

Assistant Solicitors represent the state in criminal cases in court via trial, hearings, and pleas. Assistant Solicitors conduct legal research, review case files, in addition to engaging with law enforcement agencies, witnesses, and victims.

Immediately start your career as a trial attorney. Assistant Solicitors are given substantial responsibility at the outset of their career and are entrusted with high-level felony offenses. Our office incorporates vertical prosecution, meaning that one Assistant Solicitor handles a case from start to finish.

New attorneys will attend a comprehensive two-month training program that will equip them with the tools and skills necessary to become successful prosecutors and trial attorneys.

Additionally, new attorneys work alongside a senior attorney with extensive trial experience, as a part of a team. New attorneys will have the opportunity to second-chair their senior attorney’s trials, in addition to trying their own cases, with the assistance of that same senior attorney.
