The United States District Court for the District of South Carolina invites applications for the position of Term Law Clerk to the Honorable William S. Brown, United States Magistrate Judge. The length of the clerkship can range from one to two years. Principle duties of the position include researching substantive and complex issues of federal and state law; drafting legal memoranda, opinions, and orders; preparing the Judge for hearings, settlement conferences, and trials; assisting the Judge and Career Law Clerk with docket and case management; and exhibiting the highest standards of excellence and integrity.
