Job Title: Partner (non-equity)

Prominent Charleston area law firm with an excellent culture and size is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least 4 years of litigation experience to expand its existing Litigation Practice Group as a non-equity Partner (this firm is open to candidates who are currently in an Associate, Counsel or Partner role). Compensation is $200,000 for the first year plus a bonus for any originated work outside the litigation department. Excellent benefit package provided. Minimum billable hour requirement is 1,500 hours (this requirement is potentially less if the candidate has a portable book of business). Candidates are not required to have portable business, as most of the cases come from existing clients or referrals from other lawyers in the firm, but portable business and potential referral sources are welcomed. The firm is looking for someone with leadership qualities who can eventually lead the litigation department. The main practice areas this person would handle are real estate litigation and commercial litigation, but the firm is open to other litigation areas which are a good fit for the firm. Must be currently licensed in South Carolina.
