Job Title: Judicial Law Clerk
Under limited supervision, assists the Circuit Court Judge and/or visiting Judges with the preparation and research of General Sessions criminal cases and Common Pleas civil cases for the Court. Receive and review all incoming mail, email and voicemail messages. Weekly preparation for cases by attending Roster Meetings, Status Conferences, and Jury Qualifications. Prepare case memos with information received from case files and attorneys. Keep a weekly folder with dockets, calendar and all case notes, along with all orders that are signed. Read and have knowledge of all incoming advance sheets. All other duties as assigned.
