Job Description:
As an Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney, you will represent clients in a variety of criminal matters, from misdemeanors to felonies. This role offers hands-on courtroom experience, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal cases, including arraignments, hearings, plea negotiations, and trials

Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents

Develop strong defense strategies and advise clients on legal options

Investigate cases, interview witnesses, and gather evidence to build effective defenses

Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed of case progress

Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure the best possible client outcomes

Stay up to date on changes in criminal law and procedural rules

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in South Carolina or pending bar admission

Strong legal research and writing skills

Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Passion for criminal defense and a commitment to protecting clients’ rights
